Dairy industry hits Youtube to tell story

THE dairy industry in South Australia has released a series of three short videos to highlight the unique aspects of the industry to consumers.

Filmed from the perspective of the farmers, producers and consumers, the videos illustrate how milk from the pristine farms surrounding the capital city of Adelaide is quickly transformed into dairy products such as cheese and ice cream and sold fresh to local consumers.

According to DairySA, which produced the shorts with funding from the South Australian Government’s Department of Primary Industries and Regions, the state has more than 40 small processors or value-add businesses, despite only have about 250 dairy farms.
