A-Culture Holdings have received plan approval to build a $5.5 million prawn and fin fish farm on the River Murray.

The aquaculture farm will be built in Waikerie, north east of Adelaide, drawing around 20 to 30 million litres of bore water to fill the facility.

The farm is expected to begin commercial productions in 2015.
