Valence Industries has begun to bag graphite from its recently reopened manufacturing facility in Uley, 23km from Port Lincoln in South Australia.

The high-grade coarse flake graphite deposit is one of the largest in the world, with the final product destined for export around Asia Pacific, Europe and North America.

“This an important step for Valence Industries and for our program in regional South Australia. The ability to start meeting the demand from our customers with real graphite products is fundamental to the work Valence Industries is doing.” said Christopher Darby, Managing Director & CEO.

Graphite exploration and manufacturing has recently become a more viable industry due to better extraction and processing technology, with practical applications for the final product ranging from battery technology to industrial lubricants.
