University of Adelaide's Medical and Nursing building integrates with new Health precinct

THE University of Adelaide will commence building its $125 million Medical and Nursing school on North Terrace later this month, marking the latest development in the South Australian Health and Biomedical Precinct.

The University building will be backed by $60 million of government funding, and is designed to house 2,000 students and 1,000 clinicians in a building designed around the idea of collaborative workspace and experiential based learning.

The Lyons Architects designed structure is the latest complement to the existing SAHMRI and in-construction New RAH buildings, with the aim of providing skilled graduates to both the precinct and global marketplace.
